I decided it would be of value to add some more AR magazines to the collection ... but the election run drove prices nuts so I decided to wait until overstocking caught up with folks.

Apparently it has ... and mags are finally down to a reasonable price a lot of places. They're having quite a sale here:

Pmags for less than $10; C Products stainless steel mags for $9 ... and more.

Have no financial interest in the place ... am just cheap!

Brownells sells a mag they claim to have developed and had made because some of the employees have sons and daughters in IRQ and AFG whose lives depend on the mags feeding perfectly every time. That alone wold get me to look at their offering. They are not wickedly overpriced, either...

Sent my youngest son and now daughter-in-law to Afghanistan with 10 new C-mags each. Best we could buy at the time. They worked fine. Tough test.

Also sent them with new HK 228 mags. They were not allowed to bring any of their own mags back. I apparently made a significant donation to the services. As they went to our folks I found it difficult to grumble about too much.

Can you post a picture of the HK228? I did a search, but found nothing about it...

Homebrewer,

My apologies ... Wasn't HK ... was obviously SIG! The kids were issued SIG 228s.

Can't even explain that disconnection between the brain and the fingers by the late hour of the post ... just dumb!

Again, my apologies.

AKA. M-11s

I would have given them SIG226 mags. They are easier to find, less expensive, hold more rounds and fit the M-11.

And Sig also has extended factory 20rd. mags that fit both the SIG228 and SIG226.

My advice on the cheap aftermarket AR/M16 mags. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
