Have a scope that was taken off a war trophy K98 about 35 years ago when it was being broken up - OK, stop with the tears. The scope is brass, has range markings on the turret to 1200m,and the widage adjustment is by an eliptical front lens mounting. The stadia is an inverted "v". Length is nine and a half inches (24cm) with a tube diameter of 1" (26mm). Power is about 3x. Optics are extremley good.
Have been told that it is French. Anyone know for sure what it is?
Was going to mount it on a Russian captured K98 using a set of WW2 (RWS) turret mounts I have. Anyone know what it would have been mounted on originally and what would the mounts have been?
Have a photo if that is any help, but I do not know how to post it.
