And many more!

On more than one occasion they were of great assistance to the Army throughout the past several wars!

Seriously, when a man says "I was a Marine" that covers it all. Nobody has ever told me "I was IN the Marines..."

Semper Fi, gentleman; warriors all.

I've had a busy day and am late getting here.

I spent last weekend at the Marines Memorial Club, of which I am a proud member, in San Francisco. There was a unit celebrating their annual birthday ball. Everyone was looking good in their blues with ribbons and badges. We ate dinner at The Leatherneck restaurant and I got a bit misty thinking of old comrades not present.

So now I want to wish a HAPPY 236th BIRTHDAY to all my brothers and sisters who wear the EGA with pride and honor. The Marine Corps will never die and as Marines we will live forever in the hearts and minds of those who will wear the EGA through the generations. My first Marine birthday was the 190th, celebrated at MCRD SDiego; the 191st was in a far off land where little people were trying to kill us.

SEMPER FIDELIS and may God always protect His Marines!

Sorry Gentlemen,
I didn't see the post on the proper date. Semper Fidelis and ooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
I put our Marine Ball on here in Pagosa and and terribly disappointed that more don't attend. My hat is off too all of you or all of US(MC). I will raise my glass to those present, those that can be here and to those that can't. God Bless the Marine Corps.
