I remember reading years ago how the Rhodesian military had manufactured for them special AK47 ammunition, that had the case filled with a large charge of a fast burning powder and a snug fitting steel ball, the case was then necked down and a bullet seated. These rounds were called Bolo Beans and were slipped into discovered terrorist ammo caches, leaving them for the terrorists to fire, destroying the rifle and hopefully doing damage to the terrorist. Perhaps this is what happened here. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=638_1296668121

did the same in the fifthies, during the Mau-Mau rebellion, they filled up .303 ammo with explosive and casually left it along the roads... Very effective.........
