Guys, someone here must know the answer to this- I was in a discussion recently about WW2 and Eastern Front/Western Front combat, and the question came up when was the last time a country successfully won a 2 front war that it started? I couldn't really think of anything off the top of my head and it got me thinking about it. I don't know if England ever had a naval war against France or Spain and a colonization war going on at the same time, but that was the best I could think of at the moment. Anyone have opinions on this one? for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

The English wars against Napolean were fought on many fronts eg. Spain and France as well as constant naval actions, with England trying to bring it's superior naval forces into play by blockades etc. I suspect that the German WW2 Eastern front fiasco was due to the superior resources that the Soviets had in materiel, men and distance, all of which they were prepared to use quite ruthlessly, in a way that Western governments would (probably) not. Also, the West fought on multiple fronts (against different enemies) during WW1 and WW2 and succeeded! Bottom line is that I am not sure wars start on 2 fronts, they just get that way! Peter. Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong;
