I have a 1909 Argentine (DWM-Berlin) Mauser, in very good condition. I'm wondering if any of you Mauser aficionados, could tell me the date it was manufactured, or direct me to a site where I can check it out?? Serial number is L7xxx. Many thanks. L.W.

Hi: As you know, the "Mauser Modelo Argentino 1909" has 3 variants: - the Infantry rifle (similar to the 98 Gebehr), named "Fusil de InfanterÃa" in spanish, - the Engineer's carbine (similar to the Kar98k), named "Carabina de Ingenieros", - and the Cabalry carbine (similar to the Engineer'r carbine in dimentions, but with differences on the wooden stock), named "Carabina de CaballerÃa" in spanish. I own an M1909 DWM Infantry rifle in near perfect condition, serial number C21xx, so as the above mentioned numbering, it would be manufactured in 1910. I'm interested in buying a M1909 DWM Engineer's carbine ("Carabina de Ingenieros"), almost perfect (it seems that it was never shoot). Its serial number is A36xx. Can you help me know its year of manufacture? Thank you and best regards. JanoBA Buenos Aires ARG M1909 DWMF
