idabullBoondocker: That's a pretty thin market you are looking at...If you want to avoid the primary gun auctions sites,I'd suggest a established dealer with good rep.and visibility.Bill Goodman,Joe Salter, and Leroy Merz come readily to mind..ONe or two of mine came from these guys, but it's been so long I can no longer recall or look up which or when.. Good luck..

SR4759I am not so sure.
You can always put it on an auction site with a high reserve and see what happens.
About a year or so ago a bubbafied very late WWII
98 Mauser brought over $20 grand because of it's rare mfg code.

I am still up in the air about getting rid of it.The guys on the Castboolit forum thinks I should try some cast in it. I just may as shooting cast is really fun. Boon

idabullboondocker: I've fired big plenty cast bullets from my R-L 30/40(and the 45/70 and 30/30 also)In Fact, cast is all I shoot from these old timers..One thing I found out the hard way was that once-fired cases from the Krag could not be resized enough (with my die set)to chamber in my R-L. Had to go buy new 30/40 cases...
