It seems they used them efficiently.. One of my ancestors was highly decorated for his conduct during this conflict (French and British medals)

That would depend on how many guns firing out of how many windows.

You can either have one coastal artillery piece covering a wide kill zone, or a bunch of coastal artillery guns each covering just a bit of the entire kill zone.

Something tells me this museum piece wasn't the only gun the Russkies expected to protect the port. At the time.
