There was a comment early on about the M9 "winning" the competition. I was in the Air Force contingent for the selection process. We were not satisfied and made our reasons plain in the report we submitted. Surprisingly, or maybe not, that report received a severe reediting prior to final submission. I understand several other reports also were reedited to ensure the "proper" pistol won the competition.
