Magpul PMags are by far the most reliable AR/M16 magazines I have used. Nice to see the government buying something worthwhile. Even if it is the Brits.

Cool,

good, the first 30-rounders we got in 'nam would not function with more than 27rds.

I have the Israeli Orlites myself. They work.

These look good. I like the ability to check rounds at a glance.

I think everybody still down loads their mags. Wonder if you really have to w/modern technology or if it's a "why take chances" thing?

Robert,

probably the Rule IIB thing. "If it ain't broke, you can't fix it. Just do that until you break it, then get it fixed."

The MagPul is really cool.

You guys seen the Sure Fire 60 and 100 round mags yet? I think I will need one for my 300 BLK can-gun.

Another advantage to down loading a 30 rounder by 2 or 3 rounds is that it is a lot easier to seat the magazine in the rifle if the bolt is closed.
Helps if you hand is sweaty, bloody, your tired, or you are reloading reloading from a cramped position.

I have shot several thousand rounds through the "plastique" Maple leafed marked Canadian magazines with no malfunctions.

The Magpul magazines also have another advantage, if I am not mistaken, in that the feed lips do not bend like those on the aluminum GI magazines. We used to have bad magazines because of this and if couldn't tell by inspection would only find out in live fire or blank fire. I agree that it is a great thing for the military keep up with improvements and run with a well made piece of ! important ! hardware.

The Pmags work very well in my M&P. I also have a few Orlites - funny thing that was the Orlite mags would not lock in place in my military M4 (Colt), but they work fine in my M&P (S&W). Weird.
