To all AR veterans,

Just want to say thank you and please take the time to remember all those who made the ultimate sacifice. There isn't a day that goes my that I don't remember all those who did't make it home.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Like many other "RA"s, I was gung ho about being scared spitless 15% of the time and being bored to tears 35% of the time. The remaining 50% was just life as it comes.

When you are young, hero-worship, patriotism, pride, and adventure go a long way from home.
