Just ran across a Remington Mdl 11 US ord marked 12 Ga. barrel. Length is 19" and it is parkerized. In doing some research I have come across one reference to arsenal refurbished parkerized riot guns. Does anyone know more about these? I'd like to sell it, but would like to know a bit more about it.

Not much to know; they were overhauled at Anniston and RIA after WW2, at least the Model 12s and 11s I have owned and seen. Usually marked on the butt stocks to say that. And part of the overhaul was to phosphate the metal. They will have the flaming bomb from the original manufacturer/acceptance. If they don't, then don't buy it. One Model 12 I had had a 28 inch full choke barrel, Fully Ordnance and US marked, and was overhauled at RIA, and phosphated. Why the 28 inch full choke? For AAA gunnery training during WW2.
