I ordered an M1A Supermatch in Feb 2007, laid down a couple grand, and was assured it would arrive in 8-10 weeks. I went to check the status yesterday (20 weeks later) and was told that it was not my day. In response I told the gun dealer to cancel my order and refund my deposit. This begot a call to Springfield who replied they haven't even begun building the damned thing. Long-story-short, I've got my two grand back, Springfield will be making one less Supermatch, and my gun dealer is pissed at me for canceling the order. My question is, am I being unreasonable in expecting to see a Supermatch in 20 weeks from the time it was ordered? Praise be to the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.

Seeing that they promised your rifle in 8-10 weeks, I believe you've been remarkably patient with the turkeys. Your dealer SHOULD BE PISSED! But not at you, at the manufacturer who can't meet production schedules! Remember, the customer is always right. But it seems some "business people" have forgotten about this adage. I think Springfield could have told you the REAL delivery date from the outset! "Bitte, trinks du nicht das Wasser. Dahin haben die Kuhen gesheissen."
