| I paid $100+ for a JP AR15 trigger 10+ years ago.
It took 10 hours to install. There are almost no screw adjustments. Fit and adjust by grinding.
Getting a semi auto trigger with a disconnector to be below 4 pounds is line trying to get a Mauser trigger below 2 pounds. Except the Mauaser will either not cock or accidental discharge, while the AR will double fire.
But they both can be done. I have a Mauser at 1 pound and an AR at 2 pounds. |

| Try the Jard single stage trigger. Brownells sells them, in most cases they are a drop in with 4 way adjustment. A crisp clean pull down to 2 lbs. If you have a post ban guns, there might be a trigger block to mill down so you can slip in the trigger. I did one for a customer and it tightened up his groups. |

| It is pre-ban as I bought the lower reciever when I was in the Air Force Spec ops around 1980. I believe it is a Pac-West but not sure. I have the rifle in Minnesota and am currently stationed in Hawaii. I have looked at several triggers on the market but without having the AR in front of me I am not sure of the pin size as most of those for sale have two different sizes. When I built this AR I used all military parts other than the lower since they were easily available. ( I was on the marksmanship team). Since then I have changed they parts that needed to be changed due to legalities.
How do you rate the RRA's to the Jard? |

| Rock River makes, imho, one of the finest ar's on the earth. I have sold them for guys who shoot hi-power competition. Their nm triggers are 2 stage and set at a crisp 4.5 lbs. the Jard trigger is a single stage, with various models that go from 2- 4.5 lbs with over travel, sear, disconector and safety adjustment. RRA trigger sells from 120.00 to 135.00, the jard sell at 150.00. With your pre ban it should drop in. You also have to measure your trigger pin to find out which kit you will need. Your choices are .154 and .177 sizes. I hope this helps you. |

| Thanks everyone! I am leaning toward the RRA trigger. I was hoping to get one for Christmas but since my AR is several thousand miles away I guess I will have to wait til I get back to the mainland so I can measure the trigger pin. Keith |

| I've got to throw my hat in the Rock River opinion. It took me about 15 minutes to install and I'm a not all that mechanically inclined. I've shot maybe 4 NRA high power matches and have nothing but good to say about the trigger. I opted for a 2 stage trigger as it's the one I feel most comfortable with in competetive shooting.

| I really like the JP I installed on my AR, It did take several hours because I wanted to make SURE I did it right. Note it is single stage and my understanding is that it would not be legal for sanctioned NRA matches which require two stage. Larry |
