A friend of mine is looking for a Martini Henry action/rifle named "Sherwood" made by Westley Richard at the end of 19th century for a .300 Sherwood cartridge.

If the action/rifle is not available but someone has the project or the quoted designs, well, he is welcome.

Stefano:

I'm sure there's one somewhere, but most of them have probably had the barrel replaced.

That said, I just (within the last two weeks, I wasn't really interested so I just looked and moved on) saw something similar on, I'm almot positive, gunbroker (www.gunbroker.com). It was definetely a Westley Richards MH, and I recall a somewhat oddball caliber, but not what it was. You might do a search for the various combinations and see if it is still listed. Hope this helps and good luck.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Thank you Gatogordo, I'll take a look.
I can say also that to day I have new info that do not change the search but make a little more light.
he has the action but it is not complete and he would like to fix it. He is looking for one to copy or the designs with the measures.

I believe sarco in New Jersey had a few in stock last time I was there. www.sarcoinc.com
Call them up and see if they're still available.

When you need it and don't have it you'll be singing a different tune.
