Yes The M48 w/ the 90mm gun was great for us in the Co B, 1st Bat, 69th Armor under the 4 Inf Div In 1968 to 1970. Ben het was oue home for a few months after being directed to road strong points.

I was riding shotgun on a Marine M733 1 1/2 ton tracked vehicle that wound up like the last picture. I really wanted to inflict severe bodily injury to the guy driving. 3 months later the poor guy hit a mine. He was medivaced out, never saw or heard from him again.
