Inter Ordnance Finnish M-39 7.62x54R W/ 8x Ill Ret. Scope?
Greetings! Has anyone seen, handled, fired, or owned the Finnish M-39 7.62x54R W/ 8x Ill Ret. Russian Scope?

This is the rifle sent from the distributer with original wood stock, after market bent bolt, and has mounted an 8x Ill Ret. Russian Scope, put out by Inter Ordnance.

I am interested in purchasing a sample and trying it out, as some of my customers have expressed an interest in these, and am interested in any feedback. How are they?

Also, do the Finnish m-39's have a .308 or .311 bore diameter?

Dave,

Greetings! What kind of accuracy are you experiencing with your scoped m-39 like the one in the pic?

I was thinking my customers might enjoy this as an relatively inexpensive yet quality deer rifle.

The Finnish M39s slug at .310, so you'll want to use .3105" or .311" bullets. I sometimes also use .309" 123 grain bullets made for reloading the SKS.

I have only shot mine at the 100 meter range tha tmy brother in law has but benched and sand bag in with the hand picked surplus ammo its holding in at 1 1/2" groups, with hand loads it should tighten right up.

I have one that wants to shoot but I haven't found the real "right" combination yet. After I loctited the scope mount screws it started to be more reliable. The Barnul 200gr "el cheapo" has shot best so far -3 shots in 3/4" It's a fun rifle but the scope is hard for me to get used to. i think it's well worth the price.

the finish (and "enfield" looking sights, has either a sako or tikka barrel, most of the time, and chrome lined. If its not a crawfish hole barrel, it'll shoot right with the mausers... with a scope, my stepbrother shots 1" with yellow tips... my svt shoots better, but not as reliable.

btw, the bolt is multipiece, and I've had to replace the head on mine.. i got it that way,, but, for 10 buck and a 20 buck rifle, it's a god enuogh throwdown rifle for brush blasting/hunting..

I've got the ocagon rec, so I am not putting a scope on mine

Where is InterOrdnance? Web site or phone#. Don't know why but the Nagants are doing the same thing the M1 Carbines did. Everyone wants one and it driving the price up higher every week. Thought IO might have some "bargins" left. Thanks.

This rifle is vantastic, I regularly shoot it out too 300 meters and have used it at 600 meters on 6 inch steel targets, for the price in a Sniper style rifle you can not beat it.
