Gents,
I am in search of some .30 Carbine milsurp ammo.

What I want specifically will be FMJ ammo on stripper clips and in bandoliers. For those who aren't familiar; the stripper clips will hold 10 rounds each and have an adapter built right into the clip. I don't remember how many pockets the bandoliers have, but I'm less worried about that.

If anybody has seen a source for this, preferably something I can order on the internet I would greatly appreciate the help.

TIA,
Bob

best way I can tell you is to go to a gun show or 2. Carbine ammo like that is a bit scarce. Check either gun list for shotgun news for show locations and dates

Pick up a copies of Shotgun News and Gun List...they have tons of places that sell mil-surp ammo.

Cheap as Dirt also has a bunch of mil-surp ammo that comes stripper-clipped in bandoliers packed in metal cans. The bandoliers carry twelve 10 round stripper clips, five to a can (600 rounds.)

Sorry Guys,
Both SGN and any of the "normal" places to buy surplus ammo have been a no-go for .30 Carbine surplus ammo. A few years ago this stuff was readily available, but it seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth.

Thanks anyway,
Bob

Don’t ever say the Corps doesn’t take care of its own!

How about Vietnam era Lake City stuff...in the boxes?

It's been a while since you posted this question but thought I would put forth something I just ran across. Jeff Bartlett has some 30 Carbine ammo listed on his website.

www.gibrass.com

Click on the Misc link at the top. There is also some 30-06 ammo listed on the "miscellaneous items" page as well. Hope this helps at this late date.

Big Stick,
Exactly what I was looking for, thanks. Time to save up the money and order.
