Thanks. I enjoyed it. The way the finds were presented on the end was moving.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Nice video footage.

I spent 10 years in Okinawa, Japan as a Marine and civilian. While in the Corps I had an excellent opportunity to take part in various battle studies on Okinawa, Iwo Jima, Peleliu, and Guam. We uncovered large amounts of war relics (motorized vehicles, small arms ammo, artillery, planes, tanks, flame throwers, helmets, canteens, rifles, pistols, etc) as we explored battle fields, caves, and forgotten nooks and crannies. As a civilian, I was fortunate to make 25 dives on ships and planes destroyed in Truk Lagoon. A buddy shot hours of video as we explored the wreckage.

As you might expect... these activities did carry an inherent danger via unexploded munitions.

By the looks of some of that head gear, the previous owners did not fare too well.

Yes, some of the rifle shells were rimmed 7,62x53R Mosin.

Amazing with how little care they handled the old Panzerfaust they found. These things can still explode...

Very sobering, especially the finish. It's nearly impossible to imagine the millions of lives lost ...

Back in the 60's when we were in Germany, the town was(i will misspell it)Wildfleckien.

Me and 4 or 5 buddies were playing on the side of the mountains when we found some concrete in the side of a hill.

We dug back a ways and found a small room that had a tunnel in the back.

In the room was a tray that had ammo linked up in a belt,it was about 6 ft long and the tray was 6 or 7 inches deep.

When you followed the tunnel it came out farther up and the opening had a steel plate around the firing hole.

We also found a anti personal mine in the trees on the north side of the gym.
The eod guys came and had a program about that kinda of stuff to let all the other kids know what to leave alone.

We still looked some more and did some hammer work on a slab and broke into a basement where an old building stood.

When we looked in the hole we saw some skeletons and a butt load of equipment.
We thought we would at least be able to keep a helmet or something small but they took everything.

They had a service for the soldiers that were found that was a nice ending for the families..
