I was quite fond of my Lithgow L1A1 to,but the new anti gun laws took care of that. I didn't want to play their game and got rid of everything. Hopefully the rules will change and I can once again become an owner/user. derf

Just wait, one day these stalinists will pass the law, and they will make you smile when you give it to them, and you will have to thank them afterwards for taking your FALs.
That is how they work, that is what they live for.
MAJOR CALIBER, I am looking to get a FAL. I have a AR15 that I like but the more I see the FALs the more I am like them.I think I've seen your site before do you have price listings for the weapons pictured there?, and those FALs of yours are fantastic. Thanks,Kev

While I don't disagree with your last line, you, like 99% of the non-Americans here, have yet to figure out that we are different.
We began this country by fighting off the baddest, meanest superpower of its time. We are not afraid of government, and we are not above spilling its blood again.

It's just another rifle fer crying out loud! If we all liked the same thing, there would be only one rifle! They all work. They all do the job. Only thing is, are you good enough to "walk the walk?"
The Whermacht almost conquered the world with a bolt action rifle. Wasn't the rifle, it was the operators.
They all have good and bad points. Personally, I'll use whatever is at hand.
After I get me an H&K USP Tactical, which is my current endevour, I am hoping to save up for a DS Arms L1A1 FAL "Predator," with a 19" match grade barrel and OD green furniture. It has a flat top scope rail and I am planning on getting the rail interface system for it. Other than that, a butt load of 20 rounders, and perhaps the M249 style synthetic furniture set sold in Tapco. Ahh yes, we're having good time now...

& what do you think THOSE operators could have done if they all MP/44s, STS/45s which ever you like to call it?

*Very* little against T-34 and Stalin tanks, against B-24 and Flying Fortresses, against Mustangs and Thunderbolts, against anti-submarine sonar and radar, against the mightiest industrial power of the world (USA) and against the manpower of the Soviet Union... Germany was bound to lose in any case. Generals like Franz Halder knew it from the outset. Read Albert Speer's memoirs for the desastrous raw materials supply situation after 1944.

Carcano1 you are absolutely correct on all points. I was referring to the above "assault rifles" & I forgot the all important FG/42, being better than the M98 especially in street fighting & especially against the russian hord.

Sure FAL's are sexy but my m-14 That I built back in the 80's is better. You should see her dressed up in some of the other stocks I have. I use this one for hog hunting.
FARRIGHT, I am also looking at the Predator, would you go with the type 1 or type 3 receiver?. And have you ever shot the Predator it looks so sweet, also check out "www.grsc.com "they have made a scope mount just for a FAL and ACOG scope. It is designed to have your irons used as a back up, but it is low, very nice. Kev

I like it better with the green furniture. I would leave it like that.

Looks good, but it may have the onset of tacticalitist. Better get those legs takencare of. Or the next thing you know you will have a vertical forgrip, flare lancher, GPS, flash light, infra red flash light, laser sight, 8-24x60mm scope, night vision device, and a coffe machine growing on you gun. At which point it will weigh 42 pounds and you will need the legs to support it.
It's funny you should mention the add-ons I have a Tasco 6x24x50 mm mildot reticle scope, a Weaponsarts tactical pistol grip and a butler creek sling on it. It's heavy about 13# now, but I still like the looks of it. I'll post a new pic of it when I get the digi cam out
