I have a 1938 German K98 that I need to sell. I listed it here once and did not receive any inquiries. Is there a board that specializing in military or mausers that has a classified section. thanks crl The average man's love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty; and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies.

I see milsurp Mausers selling often here. My '08 Brazillian sold in about 24 hours after a half dozen questions. You are NOT going to get top dollar here, there are too many smart buyers, and most are looking for donor actions for projects. If you want to move it for a fair price you should sell it fairly quickly. If it's a collectable grade, that's a whole different ball game. Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Don't see a classified section here, but there're lots of K98 guys on the Mauser board: http://www.gunboards.com/forums/default.asp?CAT_ID=1 And this one has a buy, sell, trade section: http://mausercentral.com/forum/index.php Hope this helps. Good luck. Can I ask why you're selling it? Steve

I am selling it because I have 3 of them. I don't really need 3. I am keeping 2 for my boys and I was going to use one for a project. The way things are going I will be 80 before any projects get done. Thanks for the leads. crl The average man's love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary. Sell it to me. Don't use a German K98 for a donor action. Are the markings on it?
