i recently saw some Sellier & Bellot 223 ammunition for sale which is loaded with the SS109 bullets. does anyone know if this is loaded to NATO specifications? if it is not, does anyone know what the muzzle velocity is?

I can't report if it's loaded to NATO specs or not, all I can tell you is that it shot great out of a savage 112fv that I used to own. Never tried it in a semiauto.

bill Look on the base of the cartridges. If there is a circle with a cross in it, the ammo has met NATO specs.

The problem with the blowup, was with ammo reloaded with S&B brass. You can't blame S&B for that.
