Was it washed without Woolite, then put in the dryer on 'high'?

That is just a "C" stock, but someone got crazy with a sander. Note even the recoil lug is protruding some. The two cross bolts are non-standard also. OG

Seriously doubt if it is in original condition, especially if it came from the CMP. They know their stuff, and a "find" usually ends up on the CMP auction.

What in the world is that around the hand guard? It looks like a radiator hose clamp...

Amazingly, it looks suspiciously like a stock M1903 barrel band. Could it be??????
