Gewehr 33/40 Mountain troop carbine
I have a line on a Gewehr 33/40 Mountain troop carbine, near mint all matching, Dot 42 manufacture.
The seller wants 2000.00 for it, is it worth it?
How rare are these carbines?

short and fat and hard to get at, hit like a hammer and never been hit back.

They are rare if indeed it is in "near mint" condition. I would offer a lower amount figuring on splitting the difference.

Yes its as nice as he says but he has this price in his head and will not move from it.
I quess its up to me to decide if I want one that bad or if someone else will get it.

If it is truly mint, complete, unaltered and all matching, probably worth $2K.

I picked up a AMD-65 instead of the 33/40 carbine, with the 12.5 barrel it sure is loud when fireing.
