I bought a Timney for a Mauser 95 Chileno and I believe they sent me the wrong one. I believe I got one that cocks on opening as opposed to one that cocks on closing. If anyone has changed the trigger to a Mauser 95 Chileno to a Timney I would really appreciate if you could give me the stock or item number so that I may order the right one.

A long time back I used a Timney Sportsman trigger in customizing a Mauser 1893, which is vitually the same as the 1895, and don't recall any problem s with its functioning. I later converted the bolt to cock-on-open and it still worked fine. There was no model number, as I believe that trigger fit all the small-ring Mausers. I don't know if Timney has made any changes in the trigger since then. Bud W
