Which model sling was issued with the 03A3(WW II)?Was it leather or cotton/canvas?I've just aquired a very nice 03A3 and bayonet w/scabbard.I'm looking for the correct sling to compliment this piece.Any help would be appreciated.

The old M1907 leather sling with Parkerized steel hardware was still used with those and the M1.

If you're wanting an original, it'll cost ya. But Turner Saddlery makes a high quality reproduction; see http://wideners.com/ under "Slings."

International Military Antiques has a surprisingly decent cheap repro of the M1907 sling. I put one of the WWI versions with the brass hardware on my Savage varmint rifle. http://imausa.com/ That's where I get slings for a lot of my "shooter" milsurps.

Turner slings are a first class product. Many Hi-Power rifle shooters use them.
