Have just read anew an article dealing with a twin-mounting of the MG34 and seems this weapon could be fired with the belt inserted from either the right or the left side so this twing mount was not a "mirror image" weaponm as were the twin mount M-2 Browings and etc. Anyone know if this is true or not and/or have further info on the twin mount MG34? I believe this thing was called the MG81 ZWILLING but that may not be correct. Found this picture of a crew with an MG34 and would guess it was probably pre-WWII based on no empblems or insignia viaible on the helmets? Is this correct? Boy, I am just full of questions this morning! Lord, give me patience 'cuz if you give me strength I'll need bail money!! 'TrapperP'

Big inaccuracy. the MG 81 Z for Zwilling (Twin) is derived from Rheinmetall Borsig MG 15. it is not a MG 34.
