Many years ago I used an American army trifold entrenching tool. I understand that the Bundeswehr used an identical shovel - but its folding handle was steel rather than U.S. Army's aluminum. Where can I buy the Bundeswehr version, I assume, as surplus?

Naphtali, is there any reason you would want the older heavier BRD type tri-fold shovel over a US GI type aluminum alloy one? bewildered
