A lifelong buddy of mine, passed on recently. We did a load of running together as kids. He owned a photograph that his dad had picked up in Germany in WW2. Not a print, an actual photo of Adolph Hitler standing by his car. Collectors have been trying to weasel that thing for years. He would not sell it because his dad had been so proud of it. I brought it up to his family that it was the one thing I would have liked to have of his, and would pay within reason. His wife and brother, all that's left, have no interest in it and promised to GIVE me the darned thing. And after going through everything he had, she is unable to find it. We talked about that photo many times as kids, and I sure wanted it.

A friend of mine has a baseball signed by Babe Ruth and it was missing for 10 years. We always said his son used it for a game and hit it into the bay, but he found it last year. It was found in his storage shed which he had been planning to cleanout for the last 9 years!
