Ricochet,

You are of course correct! It has been a long while since I though about any of this stuff. After reading you post(s) though (several times)it started to come back.

Heh! I swear if I had an newkyoolur device I would have to set it off, just because. Fallout be damned. No interest in making a socio-political point, just a really big boom. Yeah. I think I go with the Davy Crockett, on account of the fact the effective range of the projector was somewhat less than the blast radius of the warhead... Get the SPF 9000.

Rick,

Actually is seems to be more of a skittering, you know like the noise a COCK ROACH makes walking around behind the kitchen cabinets. I think I now understand your curiousity about thermo-nuclear weapons.

I suggest you grow-up just a tad and stop this silly immature BS posting of yours. I'll ignore you and I suggest you ignore me. I am confident MANY posters would appreciate that!

There's that damn "squeaking" again!

Have you ever noticed how some people are so self-centered (or insecure) that they always think that others are "thinking" of them all the time?????

Ricochet,

Actually the first H-bombs (hydrogen bomb) used heavy water aka "deuterium". Lithium which really makes it a "L-bomb" was an American improvement over the orginal H-bomb's fusion capability, it greatly decreased the size of the bomb for any given yield. The L-bomb is also "cleaner".

I belive there is not much difference in power when compared same class warheads or missiles (Russian and US). But what I belive russian missile technology is permanently minimum 5 year modern than that US (I don't talk about computers or electronics). Look for exaple at Topol-M missile, stelth capabilities, over 8000km in 20minutes, countermeasure, mobile launched . . .and it will defeat any antimissile system in next 20years . . .

Sounds like you're ready to crank up the Cold War again.
Do you miss the "good old days"?
As I remember you guys in CZ took a pretty good hosing from the creators of the wonder missile you're so proud of.
I'm impressed with all the "insider" information on strategic weapons available on the internet.
I'll give you a tip for free.
The true capabilities of either countries strategic weapons are not available on a web site.
Try posting some more porn, you seem to be proficient at that.

...I have an interesting neighbor. He was posted to Tinian as a B-29 co-pilot late in the "game". He was involved in the world's second nuclear mission as a bit of decoy. The plane carrying the bomb crossed the target at about 20,000'(no contrail) while the flak plane (decoy, carrying several waist gunners and 2 British observers) crossed at a higher altitude sufficient to leave a well defined contrail, and a bit behind the bomb plane. In addition to drawing AAA, the flak plane was also tasked with taking on any fighters which rose to meet them (hence the extra gunners). They did spot 2 Japanese fighters taking off way too late to interfere with the bomb run. After the drop, both B-29s nosed down and accelerated away from groundzero. He's still kicking and good for a story every once in a while.

Do they...like...need lots of cleaning? Not if you keep them indoors!< !--color-->

Is there...like...a big difference between US and Russian?Russian ones are bigger < !--color-->

Oh...and most importantly...can they, like...Cook-Off? Not if you don't inadvertently leave one on the burner too long. < !--color-->

I would especially like to hear from combat vets who have used them under a variety of field conditions under fire! Them isn't used in field conditions < !--color--> Rick

Hello:
Actually the first American Thermo-nuclear device had more resemblance to an industrial plant, than a bomb. When it went off, it scared the shit out of the people in attendance, because they had vastly under-estimated the results.
