A local gun shop has recently gotten a shipment of mil surplus rifles. The two I am interested in are a CETME and a L1A1 both by century international arms. Which should I get?

The L1A1 is the superior rifle. I think wholesale on it is about $390, the Cetme is about $300. The dealers I've talked with who carry both say quality, headspace varies alot with the Cetme, no problems with the L1A1.

They want $325 for the CETME. The L1A1 was $400 and some change I don't exactly remember.

Just a side note but if you go with a FN by all means go with the METRIC pattern guns not the INCH pattern. There is much more metric pattern
components/accessories available. Inch pattern magazines are MUCH pricer than Metric.

Hello:
Just a short note here. Metric pattern magazines will fit inch versions, but not vise versa. It's that lug in the front that differs.
