A busy fall with the purchase of my guide area my hounds have spent way to much time in the kennel. Today I took them out for the first time this fall to see if they remembered what a bear is. The hounds hit a good scent and the chase was on. A good hour run and they had their first of the day treed. I walked in a couple rookies to see there first bear action.



Vicki and Tredster thinking whats up??


I pulled the three big dogs off and waited with the pups to see if they would run the bear when it came out. To my surprise Vicki took off nose to the ground baying away with tred on her heels. I quickly let the big dogs go to help out, soon we had a split race and to my surpise a big boar was up the tree when I walked in. I don't know what happened to the first one but this was a much better bear.


A good day all around and home for lunch as well.
