With all the interest shown in Montana Rifle Co. actions and barrels in other sections of this forum, I thought some Canadians would to happy to learn that they are been distributed by a Canadian company in Delta, BC Bits of Pieces

It appears that Rocky Mountian Rifles in Dawson Creek BC has some competition.

Quote: The mini has not left the drawing board just yet. MRC almost broke their own back by starting RH short plus all LH models into production at the same time. As we all know, it took a good deal longer than they had originally expected. They are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and are filling the remainder of the Chater Program orders. Many (most?) models are currently in stock. I should think MRC will be happy to take a slight breather once they have filled their Charter Program orders, and then decide which model will be the next candidate for production. Don't know whether that will be the mini or the PH. Time will tell. In any event, figure a fair amount of time from the time an action moves from the design board into production. There are always a ton of issues to be sorted out: correctness of CAD files and all dimensions, molds, destruction testing, heat treating and shrinkage, machining and shops doing this work etc etc. Tough job to get an action to market. - mike
