I have a moose trip planned for the Snow Lake area this fall. My question, is there any place to get a moose processed in that area or down towards Winnepeg? This is my first trip north of the boarder and I would rather not drive to the Minneapolis area with moose quarters.

I imagine there would be a meatcutter in The Pas and Dauphin and Winnipeg. The problem will be getting it done immediately upon your getting out of the bush. I am a meatcutter but I am not really on your route through to Winnipeg as I live on the south side of Riding Mountain National Park.

I think you should talk to your outfitter and get him to set something up for you. If you have no luck e-mail me and I will see what I can find for you. To get it done and frozen will mean you have to stay somewhere for a couple of days.
