I am going to Sacramento in the middle of May to pick up a car and drive it home. I will be driving the Oregon and Washington coast. I would like to stop in a couple of gun shops and pick up some powder and bullets. Does anyone know of a good gun shop with supplies at decent prices on that route. I will be stopping in at White City to check out Corbins swaging machines but need to pick up some reloading supplies. What are the legal problems I will encounter at the border (US customs). Kesselrings, just outside of Bellingham Wa. Don't tell em your Canadian. Just hand em' us money, you'll have no problems. Beware of what you can and cannot bring back across the border into Canada. Since 911 things are not so casual.

I would definitely stop at Sportsman's Warehouse in Salem, OR...it's right off the freeway. I believe it is the Hwy 22 exit towards Detroit Lake (East), then the first exit off that, next to a big ShopKo.. Great prices and a wide variety of all kinds of reloading supplies, and lots of guns too.

I would like to skip accross the line and pick up a Remington 700 action in Washington state, anybody know if you need to produce U.S. I.D. ? Is this the same as buying a complete rifle in the U.S. or is an action just considered a gun part down there?
