Starting on the first of November I left my home in northwest Ohio and started my trip north. All I could think of [ Get north of Minneapalis St. Paul ] as I traveled northwest through Minnesota, North Dakota I was amazed how many crops were still in the feilds, combines were having alot of problems getting around wet spots in many feild trying to get there beans off. Even as I came home on the 17th 80% of there corn was still standing and I suppose deer hunting was different then other years for locals. I decided to cross at Sweetgrass Montana then I took 4 up to 36 north and went up to Camrose, visted a friend for a few days then ran over to Wetaskiwin to another friend and went deer hunting with his son and daugther just as a observer. The second night out his son killed his first buck and I called it a 6x6 but he said it was a 6x5. Then after a few more days I traveled to Longview Alberta and hunted moose with Nelson Blue Ridge Outfitters full moon and mild tempritures we still managed to see four to twelve moose a day only hunting in the morning till ten or so. I ended up shooting a 48 inch bull that weighed in at the butcher shop at 538 lbs. I saw 50 inch bulls, but like the tines on the one I shot. This summer I stared reloading and shot him with my reload that was IMR4064, 69 GR. and a 285 grain Speer Grand Slam in 375 H and H . Had a great time and made a few more new friends life dosen't get any better. I took a different way home running down route 85 along the western edge of North Dakota. As I crossed the Missouri river there was a wildlife area that was called Lewis and Clark it looked like a great place to hunt some deer so maybe in a few years I will look into it.Fuel was a good price running around $2.50 a gallion and motels ran around 60 bucks. Only thing left to say is thank you Canada you have a great country and even greater people clap
