I would assume that as long as you have all of the various permits with you and it is not on an endangered species list there would be no problem. To be sure though, contact CCRA(Canada Customs and Revenue Agency) to make sure. How ever things work out, I hope you have a grand and memorable time here. derf Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati

Don't fret, please. Canada Customs employees are all sweet, gentle grandmothers who give you milk and cookies upon your arrival (because they just know that weary travellers are all hungry!) They'll just pat you on the head, and kiss you on the cheek, and send you on your merry way with an extra sandwich for your lunch. Not. Actually, they hired most of them from the extras on those "Lord of the Rings" movies - you know the really black, vile, scabby ones that slobbered all over themselves because their fangs are too big to close their mouths on...I wouldn't trust the bastards any farther than I could throw them by their festering scrotums. Just make sure your paperwork is in order up, down, and crosswise - and if any one of them even looks at you funny, immediately ask 'it' for identification and a written, signed copy of their reason for saying anything more than "Good morning, sir, and welcome to Canada!" Sicily has the Mafia, China has the Tong, Afganistan has al Qaeda....we have Canada Customs. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go and rinse my mouth.

I think you will also have to contact the canadian wildlife service and confirm paperwork with them since they handle all CITIES issues. If you have that much to fight for, then you should be fighting. The sentiment that modern day ordinary Canadians do not need firearms for protection is pleasant but unrealistic. To discourage responsible deserving Canadians from possessing firearms for lawful self-defence and other legitimate purposes is to risk sacrificing them at the altar of political correctness." - Alberta Provincial Court Judge Demetrick
