That Goat story happened about forty miles south of where I grew up.

Thanks Nikudu!

I've managed to steer clear from hairy encounters with grizz so far, but I did see mama and little cub tracks across mine, where I had been climbing a few hours earlier, in the dark. Eeker

Thanks Nick!

The bear story was great. I always enjoy an Andy Russell story. The North Fork of the Flathead has been my stomping grounds for a long time too....he makes a comment in the story about watching bears from a distance -- last spring Don_G and I were watching a sow G-bear and cubs VERY close to where this story took place.

Cheers,
Canuck

Glad you enjoyed, gentleman! Do pop in once a week, as I don't always have time to post a "heads-up".
Many bear, sheep & goat stories coming up! - Nick
