Saw my first bear track this season on the 12th. A nice grizz with a little under seven inches across the front pad. We still have about 18 inches of snow in the trees so the bears are slowly working their way out. A few reports, on another forum, of people sighting bears, in Alberta. As always, the Grizz seem to be out first. Pile of snow here and it's snowing as I write. No need to get excited yet. Grizz Indeed, no human being has yet lived under conditions which, considering the prevailing climates of the past, can be regarded as normal.
