I just hunted with an outfit on the Blood Indian reserve in Southern Alberta, it's their first year of operation. If you want to jump into a plane or your truck now, they might be able to set you up next week, they had two whitetail tags left!

They just killed nine bucks, with nine hunters (each had one tag, mule deer or whitetails), and they are having 4 more hunters from Utah there this week.

I was there just for the day, and we hunted birds and drove around to look for some bucks, and we saw a few very decent ones. This is plains country, so very flat, but cut up by coulees, creek bottoms, river valleys, etc. Interesting hunting, I never had hunted this type of terrain before.

Gimme a shout at terrahunt@yahoo.com, or PM me if you'd like to know more.

I'll try to post some pics of bucks that were taken in a while.

Dr B:

I have hunted Alberta, with Ron Nemetchek's North River Outfitting, last three years and will continue to hunt with them. From what I have seen and researched they produce results better than most.

Hopefully, this link will work:

If you have a question, please let me know.

Dr B,
I would definatly hunt with Ron at North River as well. I have guided for Ron and know a few of his guides that are still working for him and they kill some pigs. The country is the best in AB, and the deer are great quality. Send me an email if you have any questions about the camp.......rackmastr@hotmail.com

Dr. B,
I suggest trying Birch Creek Outfitters. I know they had a few hunts available last week.

Their website is http://www.birchcreekhunts.com
Mike Dziengielewski and family are great people, with plenty of opportunity for a good northern Alberta WT buck.

Here is a nice buck I shot recently in west central Alberta (north of Rocky Mountain House). I have a feeling he isn't a very old buck and had a lot of potential to be a GREAT buck in a couple of years.

The hunt was good and he came out about where I expected and I was ready when he did. Savage 99 in .300 sav. 165 gr. handlod.

Hope this works, never posted a pic here before.

A whitetail/muledeer hunt in Alberta really sounds tempting.
