I'm sure some of you pursue birds come autumn, so I truly need your help because Nova Scotia and New Brunswick look very, very good for grouse and woodcock. Is there a way for a non-resident to hunt without shouldering the added expense of hiring a guide? Or, should I look to Quebec?

Unfortunately you do have to have a guide if you are a non-resident here in N.B. I don't think the prices are to out of line as compared to deer, bear or moose but don't hold me to that. You may want to get in touch with somebody from the N.B. Wildlife Federation to find out for sure which outfitters are setup properly and the best deals. Coyote Jack

Thanks for taking the time to post, CJ. I remember reading about somebody staying in a lodge that was owned by a licensed guide which satisfied the requirement. Again, thanks.
