I'm headed on a moose hunt this fall to Newfoundland for my first hunt in Canada. A friend told me when he went he found several moose and caribou sheds but was not allowed to bring them back to the US. Is there any type of permit the I can get that will allow me to bring some sheds back over the border? Thanks.

I think that the US gov't would be the place to look for reasons why you can't take sheds back. I could be wrong tho'. - Dan

Did you know that as a resident of BC,I'm not allowed to pick up and bring home sheds in my OWN home province. The province hasn't been overly diligent in enforcing this ruling, but thats the way it's supposed to be.Seems that our government has seen that they have a dollar value and are calling them an asset of the crown. In spite of this, and me be a good law abiding citizen, you should see the moose, elk, and caribou sheds that I brought home last year.Don't tell anyone though! Quote: David, can you point out the specific law that says you can't collect sheds?
