I have actually found that my own 300ultramags are more sensitive to the powder bullet combination than to bullet weights alone. My recipe for 180gr bullets is 95gr of r-25 with 215 primers.Velocity in both rifles runs around 3340fps.I can't help you with the 200gr accubond.

I've heard the Retumbo is a great powder for the Ultras. Good luck.

Richard Retumbo is "THE" powder in my rifle. 95 grs of it behind the 180 gr Branes X groups 3 shots under 1 inch @ 200 yds. This is Max in my rifle so work up carefully. Can't tell you what the bullet looks like because I've never recovered one. Nothing has ever gone more than 25 yds either. Hope that helps

I've tried RL 25 and Retumbo with the 200 grain Accubond in my .300 Ultra Mag. The best groups I got was using 91 grains of RL 25; and 93 grains of Retumbo. I myself like the Retumbo better with the 200's and the RL 25 with 180's. These were not max loads for my rifle. But I of course am going to caution you to start a little lower and work up to these loads. Good luck. Papershredder
