Hi,

Does anybody know where I can find an outfitter that offers me to follow a fur-trapper on his daily work for a couple of winterdays? Yukon, Alaska or elsewhere. I´m in the businness myself in the swedish taiga region and would like to see how one of your guys work.

your best idea would be to contact a provincial trappers association.they could put you in contact with someone who could take you out.

This is getting to be a popular activity and a number of outfitters are doing it now.

Here are a couple from Northern BC...

Folding Mt/Terminus Mt Outfitters... http://www.terminusmountain.com/Welcome.php

A while ago I met these people:

http://www.rockymountaintrapper.com/

the site is in German, I notice, they are Swiss originally. Fully fluent in English though ;-)

Nice hospitable people, this is a link to their accommodation:
