Traveling through Canada with a truck camper

FrostbitTraveling through Canada with a truck camper
Wanted to ask our Canadian folks a question. My wife heard that you can no longer pull a camper off the side of the road when traveling through Canada. That all overnights had to be in a designated campground.
Is there any truth to this?
We will be driving down the Alcan in our truck camper come September and haven't done it since 1992.
Cheers

sheephunterabProvincial and National parks are off limits to random camping and I suspect there are are other designated areas that have no camping but it's definitely not a blanket policy. All the fires may have people a bit edgy right now too about random camping.

In the national Parks you're gonna be stuck in a campground and spots are going to be hard to find this time of year.
