Hello derf, A thousand pardons, and then some! I thought I was locked out and must have really done a number on the ENTER key. I just noticed it and apologize, mea culpa. Best wishes. Cal - Montreal

I've lived in both cities. I think Montreal is far and away more vibrant, especially the women and the night life. The bar scene is second to none in North America. Toronto has more of a general or family appeal. The CN tower offers a great view, and the Royal Ontario museum is worth a look. The zoo is one of the best anywhere. The ferry trek to Centre Island offers a great day's stroll. The Science Centre is a day well spent, especially if you have youngsters with you. If not, it's still quite interesting. If you like dining out I can tell you that I haven't had a less than superb meal in my 26 years in Montreal. The city takes a lot of pride in its restaurants. You might find a raft trip through the Lachine rapids rather thrilling. It's a thrill to ride wild rapids in full view of the Montreal skyline. Both cities have a lot to offer. Two hours from Montreal you have the capital, Ottawa, which is quite attractive. Two hours from Toronto you have Niagara Falls and its splendor. Both cities give you much to like. Have a great time. Fischer, You have a PM. Canuck and Cal Sibley, Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I'm not going to have much time for the night life etc as I am going to be there for just three days and have to depend on a friend to transport me around. This is a business trip but I guess one always find some time to do a few more interesting things than mere business. Thanks everyone and good hunting!
