Hardluck You don't seem to have drawn much of a response. I don't have any information regarding this outfitter ,good or bad. However I can tell you that "South Shore Lodge" in Winnipegosis does NOT have a listing in the Manitoba telephone directory. To me it sounds like someone just getting started. If you are considering a hunt with them I would suggest you ask for some references (past clients) if he has any. If he is just starting out that doesn't mean he can't provide a good hunt. He may try harder and may be setting up in territory that was previously not hunted very much. Hope that helps.

Thank you snowman. I hope I haven't stepped in it as I sent him a deposit. I did find a few guys who hunted there and they all took bears with some real good and reported having a good hunt. I didn't bother replying before as I had never heard of them. Checked the website you have listed and it shows the lodge is at Eagle Lake in Ontario, not Manitoba. So, how does it work....does he have a deal with another outfitter in Manitoba to use tags or do they also have an outfitters licence and tags in Manitoba?

The lodge is indeed in Manitoba. There is some excellent goose,duck& bear hunting in that area as well as pretty good whitetail. Hopefully you will have a good hunt. Let us know how it turns out.

Nope........never heard of them. Sorry, can't help you. Hope you have a good hunt, the area is not too far from where I live and we have huge bears here. Manitoba produces lots of B&C black bears every year.
