My calendar indicates that come 6pm tomorrow I'm supposed to be on a plane to Seattle, and from there to Reno.

Anybody else going?

I wish too.

Until the demand for lumber improves, I will be paying down debt and hoping I won't have to file for EI.

Well, boy, ya COULD have become a LAWYER or maybe an R.C.M.P....crime being THE "growth industry" in our dear socialist land, eh......

Too bad the gov't is wasting billions on the Olympics, a LOT of good forestry and wildlife/fisheries bio. work could be done here in BC for that money!

I hate to say it, but, the "glory days" of our forest industry are gone and like Springsteen sang about steel jobs in Pennsylvania, "they ain't comin' back"....

Good luck to ya and just relax, pay off debt and go fishin'!

Hey, thanks guys! That doesn't sound to bad....guiding in the hunting season, free eats and gorgeous kilt-clad gals as co-workers in the off season. Actually, sounds like something that would probably cost me half of everything I own. Eeker

It was a great show indeed. Ended up finding a lot of Alberta folks at a function in a hotel suite... they shanghaied me into a Northern Alberta Chapter membership, but the beer was free!

Made some good contacts, saw some cute lasses (not made any good contacts with cute lasses, just in case my wife reads this! Wink )

It was nice to be there after missing last year.
