Hi all, went to my local outdoor show here in Washington state this week and talked with lots of outfitters, both in the USA and from BC and Alberta. One from Alberta has really got my interest and just wondering if anyone has heard about them, etc. They are called Grease Creek Outfitters, not to far from Calagary. As they told me they are booked for a few years out, but what I saw in pictures from their last two years of hunting and how they answered my questions and willingness to accomodate a guy like me who suffers from sleep apnea and must use a CPAP machine to sleep at night, I was favorably impressed by them. I know, an hour conversation at a outdoor show does not make them the best, and I certainly have not committed to anything NOR paid any deposit money to them, but just using AR here as another information source to gather that all important information before committing to a booked guided hunt. My main interest with them is for a moose and compared to lots of others I talked with I think they have a good price for a 10 day hunt and they are also relativly close (13 hour drive).

So tell me your good and bad if you know anything about them. BTW, they also provided references and I'll be checking those out also.

Thanks,
Willi

Just another outfitter to throw into the pot is [ www.blueridgeoutfitters.com] I hunted with them this fall . There southwest of Longview Alberta I was there in November and saw no less then four and as high as fourteen moose every day. Average was 48 inch and seen some 50's a great family and beautiful scenery. Good luck Bill

I do not know this outfitter, but if you want a large trophy size moose this is not the area you want to hunt. You have to go farther north for truly giant moose. While the odd moose may make 50", they are not that common. However if you want to hunt real nice country and don't mind what size the moose is, this area is hard to beat. Good luck on your choice.
