I think that's been posted on the forum before. Looks like a 1 1/2 year old bear but still a potent problem !

Sorry that one is old news....has been around a while. Good reminder of where you are on the food chain when it comes to wilderness bears. ______________________________________________ The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who are bereft of that gift.

The picture of the young polar bear is from an article about polar bear cannabalism. This bear was killed and partially eaten by an older bear. It has nothing to do with the attack shown.

So what is the REAL TRUE STORY, just curious.

Oh a guy was badly mauled by a polar bear and then the internet set in......multiple changes, pictures added or deleted. The same crap that happened with the brown bear in Alaska that ate two people, was seized by fish and wildlife, stood 13 feet tall...........that one has been moving and changing and getting better for the last 4 years or so. All that aside, never take a polar bear for granted.......of all the bears, they are the most likely to view you as part of the food chain. Why do you think the Inuit left the old and sick out on the ice flows in the 'olden days'?! ______________________________________________ The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who are bereft of that gift.
